Cotignac is a very pretty village in Provence, located not far from Le Clos Geraldy, charming guest house in Prtrovence with pool ans Spa.
It stands spectacularly at the foot of a majestic rock from which falls a waterfall.
The old center, built at the foot of the cliff, presents visitors with old facades from the 17th and 18th centuries. There are also, as in many villages in Provence, old alleys. But also ironwork and stone ornaments, testimony to a rich past. Without forgetting many fountains of fresh and clear water.
Cotignac, otherwise known as the “petit saint tropez du var” because of the number of celebrities who have a home there.
The rock, which stretches over 400m, is an astonishing sight. The sun by moving the shadows constantly changes its appearance. And brings out gigantic stalactites, ledges, and deep crevices. The whole overhanging of 80m the houses built at its feet.
You can visit a cave house and the high gardens.
The long main square is dotted with restaurants in the shade of hundred-year-old plane trees. The village is also home to the sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces where the Holy Family appeared.
There are very often beautiful flea markets, antiques and multiple events such as the quince festival.
